Ares Artifex (Jesse Jensen) is a contemporary painter and street artist with his roots in the 2000's Auckland graffiti scene. He learned to paint in the street and later spent time mentoring under internationally acclaimed artist Anthony Lister. 

Ares Artifex advocates for freedom of visual speech lobbying Auckland Council to make more public spaces available to artists and to see a revision of Auckland's current graffiti eradication policy. Ares Artifex currently lives and works in Auckland, NZ.
